Halifax 2007 A. Final (235mm Sports GT)
Halifax club was the venue for the 235mm A Finale, all through qualifying it was wet then drying then wet it was a gamble as to what tyres to use but right from the start of the 235mm A finale young Karl Dransfield had picked the right tyres he made a blistering start and made a lot of ground by the time the main pack turned onto the back straight, the battle for 2nd and 3rd place was going on behind with Matt Chambers and Jim Beesley changing places a few times on lap 14 John Russell had problems and lost over 2 minutes in the pits then another 6 minutes on lap 15, Glyn Beal was the first driver to drop out on lap 46 with engine problems at this point Karl Dransfield had lapped the complete field and was getting quicker with his fastest lap of 17.17.

Karl's Mum and Dad with him on every straight ,corner and to the finish
John Russell was the next driver to pull out on lap 50; Paul Dewsnap had had a problem on lap 53 after loosing over minute, at this stage Andrew Gregory, Adam Crossland, Martin Trice and Phil Edwards were all still battling it out Karl Dransfield mum and dad were both biting there nails as the son was 3 laps ahead of second place Matt Chambers, all the drivers new Karl had this race in the bag and all let him past without any incident but it is the standard you would expect at this level. At the end of the 30 minutes Karl Dransfield was 4 laps in front of 2nd place Matt Chambers and 5 lap in front of 3rd place Jim Beesley. Well done Karl very nice racing and well done to your pitman Kyle Branson
