The NT1s looked very good all weekend and they proved it by putting three of them in the A in this very competitive Round 4 Nationals. Mark Green, while still learning the track, some new bits in his car and battling hay fever all weekend qualified second and our super-fast Team Magic driver Daz Johnson was the class by taking TQ after battling in some blisteringly fast heats from everyone. The start of the A-final was not so good for Mark, he was punted right at the first corner and ended up 9th but battled on.
Daz ran away at the start and was pretty much leaving everyone behind when suddenly Robin Hammet with his NT1 came from nowhere to take 2nd place and

catching up to Daz fast. Both Robin and Mark (unofficial) clocked the exact fastest laps of the race of 16.47s as they try to achieve their mission - Robin wanting to catch Daz for the first NT1 Nationals win and Mark Green to make up places and get back to the top 3.

I am not sure what happened to Robin midway the race, his challenge on Daz disappeared after actually overtaking and leading the race at one point but Ben Cosgrove and Mark Green drove fast but steady laps to catch up with Daz. At one point Daz came in for the usual fast RokiRead-special fast refuel and then flaned out. At this point Mark and Ben went into 1st and 2nd. Daz came back out flying and caught Ben up to reclaim 2nd after running 3rd for a while. Time ran out and the race ended with Mark Green in 1st, Daz in 2nd and Ben in 3rd.
